Inventory Turns An indication of how many times a company's inventory is sold and replaced over a set period of time. Can be calculated by dividing the cost of goods sold (COGS) by the average dollar value of inventory on hand during a defined selling period (monthly, quarterly, annually). See data (90)
Materials and Components Expense as a Percentage of Plant Revenue Total materials and components-related expense divided by the total revenue generated by the plant, or production facility, over the same time period, as a percentage. See data (84)
Cycle Time: Vendor Payment Processing The number of business days required to process an invoice from a company supplier, or vendor, from when the invoice is received by the Accounts Payable Department until it is approved and paid out to the supplier. See data (81)
Inventory Turns (Finished Goods Only) The total cost of finished goods sold divided by the average dollar value of finished goods on hand over the same period of time. See data (62)

On-time Supplier Delivery Rate The number of orders received from suppliers on or before the committed delivery date divided by the total number of orders received from suppliers over the same period of time, as a percentage. See data (52)
Undamaged Supplier Shipment Rate The total number of orders received from suppliers without any damage divided by the total number of supplier orders received over the same period of time, as a percentage. See data (45)
Days on Hand: Total Inventory The total dollar value of the inventory-on-hand divided by the average cost of goods sold over the course of a single day, as a percentage. See data (45)
Days on Hand: Finished Goods The total value of finished goods in the company's inventory divided by the average value of finished goods sold in a single day. See data (45)
Number of Lines Received and Put Away The total number of line items from suppliers received, processed and stored over a certain period of time. See data (45)
Inventory Shrinkage The total cost related to inventory shrinkage (broken, pilfered, spoiled, or stolen inventory) divided by the total value of inventory on hand, as a percentage. See data (45)
Average Warehouse Capacity Used The amount of warehouse capacity being used (measured in square feet or kilometers) divided by total warehouse or facility capacity, as a percentage. See data (45)
Peak Warehouse Capacity Used The amount of warehouse capacity being used (measured in square feet or kilometers) during peak season(s)/hour(s) divided by total warehouse or facility capacity, as a percentage. See data (45)
Honeycomb Percentage The total amount of a warehouse cube space (i.e., a single storage area or container; measured in square feet or kilometers) being used divided by the total warehouse cube space available for use at the same point in time, as a percentage. See data (45)
Supplier Order Documentation Accuracy Rate The total number of supplier orders received with complete and correct documentation divided by the total number of supplier orders received over the same period of time, as a percentage. See data (45)
Customer Backorder Rate The total number of customer orders delayed (backordered) due to the company being out of stock divided by the total number of customer orders placed over the same period of time, as a percentage. See data (45)
Percentage of Backorder Lines The total number of customer order lines delayed in a shipment due to the company being out of stock divided by the total number of order lines processed over the same period of time, as a percentage. See data (40)
Percentage of Backorder Dollars/Units The total number of order dollars or units delayed in shipment due to the company being out of stock divided by the total value or number of units ordered over the same period of time, as a percentage. See data (40)
Days on Hand: Raw Materials The total value of raw materials in the company's inventory divided by the average value of raw materials used in a single day. See data (40)
Inventory Accuracy (Units/Dollars) The difference between reported and actual inventory levels (measured in dollars or units), as a percentage. See data (40)
Inventory Accuracy (Location) The number of inventory locations which contain inventory inaccuracies divided by the total number of inventory locations counted, as a percentage. See data (40)
Inventory Turnover The average number of days required to sell and replace a company's inventory, from the time the inventory is replenished until it is depleted. See data (21)
Imported Materials as a Percentage of Total Materials Used The total dollar amount of materials imported from outside the country where the manufacturing facility is located (i.e., non-domestic) divided by total dollar amount of materials used in the production process over the same period of time, as a percentage. Raw Materials Expense as a Percentage of COGS Total raw materials-related expense divided by the total cost of goods sold (COGS) over the same time period, as a percentage. See data (12)
Spend Under Management (SUM) The amount of company spending (direct, indirect and service-related spending) that is managed by the Procurement Department divided by total company-wide spend over the same period of time, as a percentage. See data (9)
Supplier Contract Compliance The number of suppliers that are meeting the service and quality levels as defined in the executed contract divided by the total number of vendor contracts under management at the same point in time, as a percentage. See data (7)
Direct Suppliers per Billion Dollars of Spending The total number of direct suppliers (suppliers that distribute raw materials or components that are incorporated into the purchasing company's manufactured product) used divided by each one billion dollars of total expense incurred by the company over the same period of time. Indirect Suppliers per Billion Dollars of Spending The total number of indirect suppliers (suppliers that distribute materials that are not direct componenets of the company's manufactured product: office supplies, computers, furniture, etc.) used divided by each one billion dollars of total expense incurred by the company over the same period of time. Logistics Expense as a Percentage of Sales The total logistics expense (transportation, distribution, warehousing, packaging, materials handling, distribution technology systems, etc.) divided by the total sales generated by the company over the same period of time, as a percentage. See data (2)
