Revenue per Driver
Revenue per Driver measures the total revenue generated by the company in relation to the total number of drivers working for the company. A relatively low value for this metric is likely indicative of driver overstaffing, poor practices in new business acquisition or a lack of streamlined driver routing process, among other things. While a high value is desired for this KPI, companies want to ensure that there are enough drivers in the company so that customer satisfaction is not impacted.
The total revenue earned by the company divided by the average number of drivers employed by the company over the same period of time.
