Open Requisitions per Recruiter

KPI Details

Open Requisitions per Recruiter measures the total number of open job requisitions (i.e., positions not yet filled) in relation to the number of recruiters working for the company at the same point in time. A relatively low value for this metric is typically related to a few common factors, including poor choices in regions from which to recruit from (i.e., universities, online job listings, sponsored events, etc.), inefficient interviewee selection processes (i.e., choosing candidates to be interviewed who are not the best fit for the position, etc.), inefficient candidate offers (i.e., offers that do not provide cost effective compensation in the eyes of either the candidate or the company), and sub-par Recruiting & Hiring employee training and performance. Each of these factors can prolong hiring cycle times, waste time recruiting in areas that provide few qualified candidates, increase the chances that a candidate unfit for the position will be chosen, and increase the possibility that the company will be compensating the candidate with amounts not appropriate for the position (this can be viewed as inappropriate in the eyes of the candidate or the company).

KPI Definition

The total number of open job requisitions (i.e., positions not yet filled) divided by the number of recruiters working for the company at the same point in time.

KPI Calculation Instructions Open Requisitions per Recruiter?

Two values are used to calculate this KPI: (1) the total number of open job requisitions, and (2) the number of recruiters working for the company at the same point in time. Open job requisitions should be considered to be positions within the company that are not yet filled by an internal or external hire. Recruiters, or Recruiting & Hiring employees should be considered to be employees whose core job function centers on attracting, screening and selecting talent for open positions within the company. They typically identify vacancies, develop position descriptions, formulate a strategic recruitment plan, review/screen applicants, and select individuals to be hired.

KPI Formula :

Total Number of Open Job Requisitions / Number of Recruiters
